Blood Cloud, mysterious new student (Part 5)
mysterious new student vampire story
Kaiyo: Are you spying on me, maid?
Mary (shyly): No, I wasn’t spying on you… and I’m no longer your maid.
Kaiyo (smirking): Then why are you here?
Mary: I just… wanted to thank you for saving me today.
Kaiyo (laughing): Is that all?
Mary: Yes. Why are you laughing?
Kaiyo: Because you’re a strange girl.
Mary (annoyed): You’re right. I shouldn’t have come here to thank you. You’ve never thanked me for anything I did when I was… your maid. I mean, your assistant. Anyway, I’m leaving. Goodbye!
As she turned away, Kaiyo suddenly grabbed her hand.
Mary (startled): Let go of me… what do you want?
Kaiyo (smiling faintly): It’s not in my nature to thank anyone, no matter the reason. But since the assignment you helped me with was correct… thank you, Mary.
Mary (blushing): T-thank you too… I should go now. It’s getting late. See you.
Mary hurried away, her heart pounding. As she walked, she whispered to herself:
Mary (thinking): He suddenly changed… from a cold guy to someone… different. But that conversation he had with Sui was… strange.

Later That Evening – At Home
Mary: Hi, Rin.
Rin: Hey, sis.
Mary: Where’s Mom?
Rin: She went to the market.
Mary (surprised): What? Why didn’t she wait for me? I could’ve gone!
Rin: You were late. Oh, and Mom told me something…
Mary: What is it?
Rin: Dad is coming back next week.
Mary (excited): Really?! Did he finish his work in Italy?
Rin: I’m not sure. But Mom said he’s taking a break—maybe for a month or more.
Mary: That’s wonderful. I missed him so much!
Just then, their mom returned with groceries. Mary rushed to help her.
Mary: Hi Mom! I’m so sorry I was late. I should’ve picked these up.
Mom: It’s okay, dear.
Mary: Is it true that Dad’s coming back?
Mom: Yes, honey.
Mary: I’m so happy! I missed him.
Mom: Mary, I need you to take Rin to school tomorrow.
Mary (confused): Doesn’t he have a school bus?
Mom: It broke down and needs repairs.
Mary: Got it. No problem.
The Next Morning – September 15th
Rin (grumbling): I didn’t want you to take me to school.
Mary: Why not?
Rin: Because you’re annoying… and I’m not a kid anymore.
Mary (teasing): What did you say?! You’re still a brat—and a loud one! You’re not walking to school alone.
Mary (after a pause): Have you made any new friends?
Rin: Of course! I have lots of girl friends.
Mary: WHAT?! Girls?! You little perv!
Rin: I have guy friends too, but girls are more fun.
Mary (rolling her eyes): How did you make so many friends already?
Rin (smug): Because I’m handsome and everyone wants to be my friend. I’m basically famous at school.
Mary (sarcastic): Oh please. We’ll see about that.
When they arrived, a group of students shouted, “Rin! Rin!”
Mary (shocked): I can’t believe this…
Rin: See? Told ya. Bye, sis! Thanks for the ride.
Mary (thinking): When I was in elementary school, it took me two weeks just to make one friend.
Outside the School Gate
Mary saw a new student, Sarina, standing alone by the school gate. She approached with a smile.
Mary: Hi, I’m Mary. We’re in the same class.
Sarina didn’t even look at her. Mary felt awkward but kept smiling.
Mary: Sorry to bother you. I just wanted to say hi since we’ll be classmates.
Sarina (coldly): There’s no need. I don’t want to be friends with anyone.
Mary (surprised): Why?
Sarina stared at Mary with a look full of hatred.
Sarina: Because I hate all of you.
She stormed off, leaving Mary stunned.
Just then, her friend Yuni approached.
Yuni: Mary, why are you standing here?
Mary: I just tried talking to the new girl… Sarina. She’s… intense.
Yuni (nervously): Mary… I need to tell you something strange.
Mary: What is it?
Yuni: Last night, I went to the bathroom and turned on the tap—but no water came out. Then suddenly…
Yuni paused, looking pale.
Mary: What happened next?
Yuni: Blood. A lot of blood came out instead of water. I screamed, and my parents came running.
Mary (shocked): Blood?! Why?!
Yuni (trembling): My dad checked the water tank… and found a body inside. A real corpse.
Mary: Oh my god… a vampire?
Yuni: Maybe. The vampire attacks have been increasing lately…
Mary’s heart pounded. She thought of the mysterious boy—the one who warned her never to speak of the blood she saw. She brushed those thoughts away as they headed to class.
In the classroom (Sarina mysterious new student)
Everyone was gossiping about the new girl, Sarina.
One girl walked up to her and mocked:
Girl: You’re weird. Sitting at the back instead of the front?
Sarina: None of your business.
Girl: You must be crazy.
Everyone laughed.
Sarina stood and slapped the girl across the face.
Girl (furious): How dare you?!
She raised her hand to hit back, but Mary rushed in and grabbed her wrist.
Mary: I think you’re the one out of line.
Girl: You’ll regret this!
Just then, the teacher entered.
Teacher: What’s going on here?! Everyone, sit down now!

Sarina approached Mary, looking annoyed.
Sarina: Why did you interfere?
Mary: Because she went too far. Her words about you made me angry.
Sarina: I don’t need your pity. And if you’re trying to be my friend, forget it.
Mary: I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to upset you. But… why do you hate everyone?
Sarina’s eyes softened for a second. Her voice trembled.
Sarina: …Because my father died. He needed a blood transfusion, but no one was willing to help. So he died.
Mary (shocked): I… I’m so sorry.
Sarina turned and walked away, her tears fading into the breeze.
