Blood Cloud Part 2

(Vampire Story – Part Two)

high school vampire story

Why are you late?” her younger brother, Ren, asked in a mocking tone.
Mary glanced at him with mild annoyance. “And what business is that of yours? I’m not late. This is my schedule now… Remember? I’m in high school.”

Then she added, “By the way, how was your first day at school?”

Ren replied arrogantly, “None of your business. Don’t poke your nose into my private life.”

Mary, irritated, shouted, “What?! Your private life?”

Their mother entered the room just in time. “Hello, Mary… what’s wrong, sweetheart?”

Mary forced a smile. “Hi, Mom…” she shot her brother an annoyed look. “It’s nothing… absolutely nothing.”

She quickly changed the subject. “Did Dad call? How’s his work going in Italy? When will he be back?”

Her mother sighed. “He’s doing fine, but there’s still a lot of work to finish. He’ll be staying a while longer. And you, my dear? How was school today?”

Mary responded simply, “It was good, Mom. I’m heading to my room to rest.”

The Next Day – September 6th

(there is something incredible with the vampire story )

Mary walked to school and soon met up with her best friend, Yuni. As they made their way to class, they heard loud voices.

“Someone’s arguing,” Yuni said. “Let’s check it out.”

They followed the noise and saw a crowd forming.

Yuni gasped, “Mary, look—it’s that guy, Kayo!”

Kayo shouted angrily, “You stupid girl! Don’t you have eyes? You just spilled your juice all over my clothes!”

The girl trembled, holding back tears. “I-I’m sorry… I didn’t mean to… Please forgive me…”

Mary leaned toward Yuni and whispered, “I know her… she’s a poor girl. She sells candy in our neighborhood.”

“Really?” Yuni whispered back in surprise.

Kayo’s cold gaze pierced the girl. “Saying sorry won’t fix this. You’ll pay for these clothes.”

The girl stammered, “B-But—”

“But what?” Kayo smirked wickedly, hands tucked into his pockets.

The crowd murmured nervously.

Mary stepped forward, her voice firm, “That’s enough. Leave her alone. She didn’t mean to do it—it’s just juice.”

He turned his glare toward her. “And who are you, you clueless idiot?”

“I am not an idiot,” Mary retorted angrily.

“Oh really? Should I just walk home in stained clothes?”

“It’s juice, not poison,” she said. “No need to make her pay for something so trivial.”

Kayo stepped closer, eyes narrowing. “Careful, girl. Or I’ll punish you instead of her.”

Yuni gripped Mary’s hand. “Let’s just go, Mary.”

“Let go, Yuni,” Mary said firmly. “Fine. Punish me instead of her.”

The crowd gasped. “What?!”

Kayo chuckled darkly. “You want me to punish you?”

Mary stood tall. “Yes.”

There was silence. Then, Kayo declared, “Fine. Then you’ll be my maid… for a whole day.”

Whispers rippled through the crowd:

“What a foolish girl…”
“She’ll never do it.”
“Why did she even get involved?”

Mary’s expression showed clear discomfort.

Yuni yelled at Kayo, “How could you? You’re such a jerk!”

But Mary stopped her. “I agreed to take the punishment. So I’ll accept it.”

Yuni looked down, heartbroken. “But Mary…”

Kayo scoffed again, amused. “You really are pathetic,” he said as he walked away. “Get ready, my maid. Tomorrow’s going to be exhausting. Goodbye.”

Mary muttered under her breath, “What an arrogant jerk.”

The girl Kayo had humiliated turned to Mary, eyes filled with tears. “I’m so sorry… Why did you do that for me? It was my mistake…”

Mary smiled gently. “It’s okay. I won’t let someone like him hurt you.”

“Thank you, Mary… thank you so much…”

After School – Walking Home

“I’m so bored,” Yuni sighed. “And I still haven’t made any friends.”

“Same here,” Mary replied. “The students in our class are so annoying—I don’t feel like talking to any of them.”

Yuni hesitated. “Mary… why did you do it? Why get involved with that arrogant Kayo? I didn’t think he’d be so cruel… especially with how popular he is.”

Mary looked serious. “He’s… strange. I could feel something dark in him. I couldn’t bear to watch him hurt that poor girl. She has no money, and she’s working to support her family…”

Yuni sighed. “Still… I’m worried about you.”

Mary smiled softly. “Don’t worry. I’ll be fine.”

🌑 Later That Night

Mary arrived home and collapsed on her bed, her mind replaying what had happened with Kayo. The thought of being his maid unsettled her deeply.

“There’s something off about him… a coldness in his eyes. It’s like I’ve stepped into a real-life vampire story…”

Around midnight, she got up and went to the kitchen to drink a glass of water… unaware that tomorrow, her world would begin to change.
